Dr. David Kunz started Duluth/Lawrenceville Family Practice in 1988 in a small converted house in Gwinnett County, on Georgia Highway 120 just west of Interstate 85. Caring for patients from newborn to geriatric, with obstetrics included, and taking hospital call at Gwinnett Medical Center, the practice grew rapidly and, by 1995, had moved to its current location a little over a mile away on the other side of I-85.

A lot has changed along with the landscape of the Gwinnett County, not the least of which is the landscape of medicine itself (see FAQ's – "Crisis in Healthcare"). But one thing has not changed:

Dr. Kunz believes, as he always has, that medicine, specifically primary care, is mostly about just that, Care.
