Hypothyroid Symptoms
 
  Below you will find a list of common hypothyroid symptoms.  Please keep in mind that one or more symptoms may or may not be related to a thyroid deficiency.  Please discuss thyroid therapy with your doctor if you have any questions about the effects of low thyroid on your system.

  • Fatigue
  • Drowsiness
  • Depression
  • Mood swings
  • Difficulty concentrating or focusing
  • Faulty memory
  • Attention Deficit Disorder
  • Temperature intolerance (heat or cold)
  • Headaches
  • Chronic nasal congestion
  • Allergic symptoms
  • Fluid retention (facial puffiness, swelling of feet and lower legs)
  • Changes in visual acuity
  • Constipation
  • Gas and bloating
  • Increased number of colds, sinus and respiratory infections
  • Increased number of urinary tract infections
  • Interstitial cystitis (chronic bladder infection)
  • Fibrocystic breasts
  • Shortened menstrual cycles with increased or prolonged flow
