As many of you know, I have been treating thyroid patients in an unconventional manner for the last ten years with great success, (to date over 3,000 patients). I have been going outside the accepted guidelines based upon old science and research and taking a common sense approach to treating low thyroid conditions. I treat according to symptoms and not lab values. This practice is not followed by the vast majority in today’s medical community who feel that this approach is not scientifically justifiable, or even risky (it’s not). In order to serve these patients, do research, and continue on as an advocate for a large group of patients who have been largely ignored by doctors, I will be offering TrustCare Thyroid Research Memberships limited to patients who are receiving non-conventional thyroid treatment only. The $1000 annual fee ($300/quarter if paid quarterly – not including $200 initial consultation fee for new patients) will cover office consultations, all thyroid and related blood tests, annual bone density/body composition measurements, and heart monitoring, all of which will become a necessary and required part of systematic data-gathering. Regular TrustCare members who happen also to be part of my thyroid study will need only pay for the bone density, blood tests, and cardiac monitoring. It is our desire to apply for status as a non-profit research organization and employ a clinical research coordination group so that your Thyroid Research fee will be treated as a tax-deductible contribution. After ten years of gathering a large amount of experiential data on thyroid patients, it is my intention now to create some first-rate publishable research. Please note that current thyroid patients who remain within current accepted medical laboratory guidelines for treatment will be followed and treated in the customary manner in the office as usual. Should, however, your thyroid therapy stray outside the acceptable guidelines by today's medical standards and you wish to continue on with thyroid therapy from us, you must join TrustCare Thyroid Research.
